Here's the equally excellent 'table' version of "Le Chien" - ie not serrated, but ruddy sharp all the same. Look great with plain forks and spoons.
The red handled Le Chien is unbelievably sharp and made by Thiers Issard, a French knife maker since 1884. The blade has a "full tang" (where the blade runs all the way through the handle) which makes it super strong and reliable.
They have a kind of weird but excellent ornate handle - made from strong red plastic. Dishwasher safe by the way.
The serrated version is the best little prep knife you'll ever use. Your tomatoes don't stand a chance.
